Sims Limited’s Sustainability Director Named one of the Most Influential Corporate ESG Leaders in Australia
Congratulations, Blaise! Blaise Porter, director of sustainability and corporate responsibility at Sims Limited, was selected by FS Sustainability for their inaugural ESG Power50 list of the 50 most influential corporate ESG leaders in Australia. The ESG Power50 includes those who were identified as individuals who are raising the bar on sustainability, pushing for action and are equally passionate about acting within their local communities.
To compile this list, FS Sustainability conducted an extensive search for the 50 most influential ESG professionals among listed Australian organisations. Each of the leaders on this prestigious list are ESG professionals who hail from ASX-listed companies who act on a wide variety of material environmental, social and corporate governance issues according to the readers of FS Sustainability, FS Super – The Journal of Superannuation Management, and FS Advice – The Australian Journal of Financial Planning.
Blaise was carefully selected and nominated as one of several ESG professionals who are joining the march toward better industry standards and professionalism.
In 2021, Blaise joined Sims Limited and immediately hit the ground running with her instrumental role in enhancing our sustainability reporting suite. In addition to a sustainability report, the sustainability reporting suite now includes a climate report and comprehensives databook. Blaise has been integral in developing Sims Limited’s Scope 3 emissions and is a key contributor to our Reconciliation Action Plan in support of the company’s commitment and support to Indigenous People.
As with the other leaders on the ESG Power 50 list, Blaise is extremely passionate about having a positive impact on people and the planet, as well as driving the execution of our sustainability strategy, and her recognition is much deserved.
